Infrastructure Upgrades Begin at Playa Carmen Entrance
CATUCZA informs all its affiliates, as well as business owners and merchants in Santa Teresa,
That according to information provided by the Road Engineering Department of the Municipal Council of Cóbano, starting tomorrow, Thursday, April 24, work will resume on the project titled: "Improvement and Rehabilitation of Drainage Systems and Road Surface at the Playa Carmen entrance in Santa Teresa, section C6-01-001, up to Quebrada El Carmen (650 meters)."
The project includes sub-excavations of 40 cm depth along the road, a 6-meter-wide asphalt layer, and complementary works such as sidewalks, curbs, and gutters to channel rainwater into a new drainage system that will be installed on-site. The old drainage system will be removed; therefore, each property owner or business operator along this section must ensure their rainwater runoff is connected to the new curb and gutter system.
The Ministry of Health will supervise to ensure that graywater or wastewater is being properly directed.
We kindly remind everyone to take necessary precautions to avoid inconvenience or accidents while the work is in progress.
